In part 2 of this two-part episode, we continue to talk about the various needs of international mountain rescue with Physician’s Assistant and Paramedic James Corbin. He’s a longtime listener who reached out to us to suggest a topic for the call. He began his EMS career as a volunteer EMT and paramedic in Wheaton, Maryland before heading off to learn about rock climbing and joining the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group in Virginia’s Shenandoah and Allegheny Mountains.
He later started traveling to other locations, taking his passion for rock climbing, rescue, wilderness EMS with him on the way. He took that training to Arizona and later Palau, Micronesia before most recently settling in Contanu, Benin in West Africa.
This is a two-part episode. Make sure you catch up with part one of this episode from last week.
