Hurricane Season Predictions on the Disaster Podcast

Tropical Storm TeddyWe take a look at the upcoming predictions for the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season this week on the Disaster Podcast. Our meteorologists come on the show to discuss recent severe weather events and then touch on predictions and the methods used to make these long-range forecasts.

The team also discusses the changes coming up with naming conventions for tropical cyclones. The international weather community has decided to drop the use of the Greek alphabet letter names in favor of easier to remember and translate names similar to the primary name list they already use each year.

Also on the show were Dr. Joe Holley, disaster meteorologists Becky DePodwin and Kyle Nelson, and co-hosts Sam Bradley and Jamie Davis.
