About Host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAJamie Davis, RN, EMT-P, B.A., A.S., host of the MedicCast and Nursing Show is a nationally recognized medical educator who began educating new emergency responders as a training officer for his local EMS program.  As a media producer, he has been recognized for the MedicCast Podcast, a weekly program for emergency medical providers like EMTs and paramedics, and the Nursing Show, a similar program for nurses and nursing students. His programs and resources have been downloaded over 2 million times by listeners and viewers.

Jamie speaks nationally on health care, technology, and education and is an advocate for integrating podcasting and media creation in schools at all levels.     I think it is real important to be prepared based on past events and lessons learned. Half the emergency responders in the field were in high school on 9/11. Learning from people who know like Sam Bradley, Jim Logan and myself are the best ways to learn lessons that are too expensive to be repeated. word. You should read The Downwind Walk, available at Amazon.com

    Steven didn’t mention we was working at FDNY the day of 9/11 and that he authored the book, “Downwind Walk” about the experiences of the EMS people that day.
