Emergency responders everywhere are working to find ways to prepare for response to a Hostile Intruder Mass Casualty Incident. Also called active shooter incidents, these situations are occurring more and more frequently according to recent FBI data analysis.
In this episode (part 1 of 2) of the Disaster Podcast, hosts Jamie Davis, the Podmedic and Sam Bradley are joined again by frequent guest Joe Holley from Paragon Medical Education Group and special guest Bob Otter. Bob is from KingFisherMedical.com a company committed to providing rapid triage and extrication tools to first responders along with the training and resources to use them properly.
The Kingfisher ROVER kit is a compact, lightweight MCI response kit for deployment in hostile intruder or active shooter “warm zones.” The ROVER comers equipped with the basic tools to deal with immediate life threats and to rapidly extricate the patients to safer areas outside the immediate scene.
