When Hurricane Michael struck the Florida panhandle, the state activated several contingency plans to provide supplemental support services for local responders from other parts of the state. That included an ambulance task force from Sunstar Paramedics in Pinnelas County.
On the show with co-hosts Sam Bradley and Jamie Davis are John Peterson, chief operating officer for Sunstar Paramedics and Stephen Glatstein, special operations supervisor for Sunstar. We also have our disaster weather and emergency management expert, Kyle Nelson.
We talk about the makeup of their task force and their response to Tallahassee to supplement local EMS forces in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael’s landing.
