On this episode, we bring back Dr. Joe Holley to talk some more about the groundbreaking research he’s been involved with on airway management in cardiac arrest. He and the team he was working with looked at the effects of different types of airway management to maintain an intrathoracic vacuum during CPR to facilitate better blood flow into the brain.
We talked about the methodology of the study and the challenges involved with narrowing down the types of variables in the study to make it more effective from a data collection standpoint.
On the show with us was our weather expert Becky DePodwin (@wx_becks on Twitter), as well as cohosts Sam Bradley and Jamie Davis.
