In this very timely episode of the Disaster Podcast, we take a look at the extreme technical rescue involved in the recent Thailand cave rescue. As we rejoice that all the boys and their coach were rescued, it is time to talk about the operational aspects of what it took to pull off this rescue.
In order to do that we brought on our water rescue expert Kevin Reiter from WildSafety.com, who also connected us with Cave Diving expert Bob Wilson, of Ocean Services Dive and Marine Consulting (OSDMC) to come on the show. They helped us understand the specific needs of diving in this constricted cave environment and how it would affect the rescue.

Also on the show were co-hosts Sam Bradley and Jamie Davis, the Podmedic, Dr. Joe Holley, and our disaster weather expert, meteorologist Kyle Nelson.
