In this special follow-up episode on the Federal response to Hurricane Irma in Florida and the southeastern U.S. and Caribbean Islands. We have Dr. Joe Holley on in his role on the Federal IST (Incident Support Team) and Sam Bradley with her JPATS deployment.
We touch on the fact that regular response still happens on top of the disaster needs. Joe and the IST ended up being called upon to assist in the response to a cardiac arrest inside their hotel because local responders had a delayed response because of the increased call volume.
