In this episode, as much of the Midwest and Eastern parts of the U.S. are reeling from a devastating storm, Dr. Joe Holley and host Sam Bradley compare notes on how federal and state disaster resources are alerted and deployed. The storms spawned deadly tornadoes, thunderstorms, hail, and epic flooding across much of the country. Find out how resources are allocated and who gets alerted for these responses.
Joe Holley, an ER physician and member of Tennessee Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team, compares and contrasts his teams alert experiences with those of host Sam Bradley. Sam is a member of a California-based Disaster Medical Aid Team (DMAT).
