Evacuation plans and the decisions that go into ordering evacuations of metropolitan areas is the topic of choice today on the Disaster Podcast. In this episode, we have hosts Jamie Davis, the Podmedic, and Sam Bradley, to kick off the discussion. Also joining the call are Dr. Joe Holley from Paragon Medical Education Group, and paramedic/author B.J. Schneider (xiphosbooks.net).
The discussion starts with a look at the Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada wildfire evacuations where 88,000 people were evacuated from the city to escape the flames. We then tie it back to evacuation plans for areas at risk for hurricanes, flooding, and other disasters.
