In this episode we talk with Dan Francis from D911.org. This is an organization that created a mobile app to connect individuals on the ground after a disaster with the services and resources they need the most. From the D911 site:
The core operation of D911 is a mobile app that brings together the immediate citizen response, private business resources, and responding organizations in one place so that they can be quickly accessed and deployed when needed. With D911, survivors will have access to the help they need right when they need it most.
Dan details the beginnings of the organization during one devastating hurricane disaster. He also talks about how the app came to be and how it was used most recently during the hurricane response in Florida earlier this year.
This episode is hosted by Jamie Davis and Sam Bradley with Dr. Joe Holley from Paragon Medical Education Group.
