COVID Update and a Special Memorial Retrospective on Ted Setla

Ted Setla and Jamie Davis in 2009In the main segment of this episode, we talk about COVID CDC mask guidance updates for vaccinated people. We discuss the ways this might change behaviors and what affects it will have on vaccination rates among the vaccine-hesitant.

At the top of the show, we take a moment to memorialize Thaddeus “Ted” Setla, paramedic, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. Without Ted’s passion for creating content to support first responders at all levels, this podcast would not exist.

Ted is the person who brought Dr. Joe Holley and Jim Logan from Paragon Medical Education Group (our sponsors) together with Jamie Davis and Sam Bradley (the podcast hosts). Over that dinner meeting, the beginnings of the Disaster Podcast were born. Ted recently passed away following a sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 47. He will be sorely missed by this community.

If you knew Ted and would like to share a memory, a Facebook group has been put together, Memories of Thaddeus Setla (Ted Setla).

On the show today were Dr. Joe Holley, Becky DePodwin, and co-hosts Sam Bradley and Jamie Davis.
