First Responder Suicide Awareness with Dan McGuire

In this episode, we have a special visit from Dan McGuire from CISM Perspectives on the show. Dan is one of the preeminent experts on the topic of critical incident stress management (CISM) and line of duty death (LODD). He talks with co-hosts Jamie Davis, the Podmedic and Sam Bradley about the increased incidence of first responder and public safety suicide.

Dan shares his new test program to shove public safety managers out of their comfort zones when it comes to the topic of LODD and specifically suicide. Documents now show public safety suicide rates are 40% higher than previously reported.
