Earthquake History Reviewed After Napa Quake with Sam Bradley

Fire-Department-EngineThis week on the show we chat again with co-host Sam Bradley as we continue with part two of last week’s episode. Sam was joined by host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic and also Joe Holley from Paragon Medical Education Group.

This is part two of a two part episode on the Napa quake. Check out part one on the Napa earthquake here. In this segment the team chats with Sam about some of the historic earthquakes from around the U.S. These other disasters have had a lasting effect on their communities and impact the way we respond to disasters today.

Earthquakes are sudden rolling or shaking events caused by movement under the earth’s surface. Earthquakes happen along cracks in the earth’s surface, called fault lines, and can be felt over large areas, although they usually last less than one minute. Earthquakes cannot be predicted — although scientists are working on it!
